Create an account
Signing up takes two steps. The first collects your account and company details and creates the account. The second is where you choose how you want to pay, or choose not to pay at all.
Step one: your details
From the sign-in screen, choose “Need an account? Sign up”. The heading changes to “Create your account”.
You are asked for your name, your email address and a password, and for the company details the platform needs in order to bill you and to put a sender on your labels: the legal name, the country, a VAT or EORI number, the address, the city and the postal code.
Your email address is checked as you type. If an account already exists for it, you are told so and offered a link back to sign in rather than being left to guess.
You also have to accept the terms before the step will complete. The privacy policy and the terms open in place, so you can read them without losing what you have typed.
If you would rather not create a password at all, you can start from the Google or Microsoft buttons above the form instead. See Sign in with Google or Microsoft.
Step two: your plan
Creating the account signs you in straight away. You are not asked to sign in again, and you are not sent away to check your email first.
The second step shows you the plan catalogue and a card form. You can pay now, or you can take the free plan and pay nothing. Both routes are described in Choose a plan and Stay on Free.
Nothing on this step invents a figure. Every price, allowance and interval you see is read from the platform’s own catalogue at the moment the page loads, so the page is always the authority on what a plan costs. This guide deliberately quotes none of them.
After signing up
Once the second step is done you land in the Control Tower. If you paid, activation is confirmed by your payment provider rather than by the app, so the app may show you an honest “activating” state for a short while before your plan goes live. That is expected, and it clears by itself.
You will also be asked to confirm your email address. That is a separate thing from signing up, and it is described in Confirm your email address.
