# Track a shipment

The unified tracking view, its filters, and what to do when there is nothing to track

Section: app. Audience: public. Updated: 2026-10-10.

---
**"Tracking"** is in the **"Orders & shipping"** section. It is one page holding a map, a list and a detail panel that slides out. There used to be a separate map entry, and a shipment list on the Dispatch page; both were folded in, because looking at a map and looking at a list are the same task.

## Filters

You can search, and narrow by status, by time window and by carrier.

Statuses are **"All"**, **"On the way"**, **"Delayed"**, **"Delivered"** and **"Problem"**.

**"Problem"** is the one to watch. It means the carrier has reported something that is not simply progress, and it is where your attention is worth most.

The time window is the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or **"All"**. It opens on the last 30 days.

The carrier filter is a single button that reads **"All"** until you pick a carrier. It lists whatever is in your shipments' carrier field, each with its mark, and shipments with nobody named as carrier appear as **"No carrier"**. It only appears when there is more than one to choose between.

Filters belong to the page you have open. They are not written into the address, so a refresh, or a link sent to a colleague, opens with the defaults.

## Saved views

A saved view keeps a status tab, a carrier, a time window and the order of the list under a name, so a check you make every day is one click. Saved views sit beside the status tabs and read like tabs.

Once the page shows something other than the plain list (a status other than **"All"**, a carrier, a window other than 30 days, or an order other than **"Newest first"**), **"Save view"** appears. Press it, keep or change the suggested name, and press **"Save"**. The suggested name is built from what you chose, for example the status and the carrier. **"Save view"** goes once the current combination is saved, and comes back when you change it.

Click a view to apply it. The cross beside it removes it. A view does not keep the search text: it is a standing question, such as delayed parcels with one carrier this week, not one customer's parcel.

Views are kept in this browser, not on your account, so they do not follow you to another browser or device. There is a limit on how many you can keep; when you reach it, the app says so, and you remove one to save another.

## If there is nothing here

**"No shipments to track yet"** usually means what it says: nothing has shipped yet, or no store or carrier is connected. **"Go to Connections"** opens Settings on your stores, with carriers beside them. See [Connect a store](/app/connect-a-store) and [Connect a carrier account](/app/connect-a-carrier).

## One shipment's detail

Clicking a shipment opens its detail panel. Below the shipment's own history, **"Raw carrier scans"** lists every scan the carrier sent for that parcel, with the payload behind each on request. It is there for support questions about one parcel; the history above it is the version to read day to day. It replaces the scan list the retired Dispatch page had. See [Dispatch](/app/dispatch).

## Sharing a parcel page

A shipment created in Horizon has a **"Print and share"** fold in its detail panel. In it, **"Parcel page"** creates a public link to a page about that parcel, which you can send to your customer or anyone else. Shipments that only mirror an order from your store do not have it.

- **"Create parcel link"** makes the link. It then shows under **"Parcel page link"**, with **"Copy link"** and **"Open page"** to check what the recipient sees.
- **"Replace link"** makes a new link and stops the old one working. Use it when a link reached someone it should not have. Share the new link with anyone who still needs it.
- **"Turn off link"** stops the current link working. You can create a new one later.

Both replace and turn off ask you to confirm first. Anyone with the link can open the page until you replace it or turn it off: there is no sign-in on it.

Above the buttons, the card says how many public product passports the page includes, or why it includes none: the parcel has no public passports, passports are unavailable, or public passports are turned off for parcel pages. In the last case, **"Manage passports on parcel pages"** opens the placement settings in **"Digital Passports"**. See [Digital Product Passports](/app/digital-product-passports).

If new links cannot be created right now, the card says so, and you can still turn off an existing one. If a change could not be confirmed, the card reloads and asks you to check the current link before sharing it.

### What the recipient sees

The page, titled Your parcel, shows:

- the shipment status as saved in Horizon, in plain words such as pickup scheduled, in progress or completed. It is not refreshed from the carrier while they look at it, and it says it is the status saved by the merchant;
- the product passports linked to the parcel that are public, each with a link to view it. A parcel with many linked items shows only the first ones, and says so;
- an offer for the parcel, when one of its passports carries a promotion.

It shows no personal details: no name, no address, no carrier scans. The page opens in your account's language, and the recipient can switch between English and French. A link that was replaced or turned off shows a page saying the parcel page is unavailable and to contact the merchant.

## Emailing the customers of selected parcels

Select parcels in the list to act on them together. You can send their customers one update now, or start a flow on **"Customer emails"** pre-filled from the selection, so the next batch is caught too. See [Notifications](/app/notifications).

## Where the events come from

Tracking events come from the carrier, with the platform's own tracking service filling in and refining carrier detail. Events from that service are converted into the same shape as carrier events, so the history you read is consistent whatever the source.

You do not configure this. It is part of the platform rather than a connection you make, so there is nothing to set up and no key to supply.
